My consulting service begins immediately, upon your reservation and continues throughout or possibly even beyond your eventual visit to the Philippines.
For the record, I’m retired from New England and a U.S. ARMY veteran with 20+ years of experience in marketing, both as an employee and company owner. Approximately a decade ago, when I was in my late 40’s, I happened upon what I now consider to be a best kept secret in the world for single men, while I was traveling on business in the Philippines. Since then, I have spent an average of 4-6 months each year at my vacation home in the PH. Like many retired people, I’m now looking for a sideline business opportunity to supplement my pension and investments. The best means to that end is almost always to barter something that you know and understand better than most people, for the benefit of all concerned. So here we go…
*Please excuse the simplicity of my website. It’s designed to be more informative than elaborate.
Welcome to my website.
My goal, is to help others find a compatible Filipino long-term partner who meets or exceeds their ideals.
(FYI – The photo above is of me and my Pinay wife.)
If you wish to marry a Filipino female, it’s required that you first meet her in person and in order to get a VISA you must also have consummated the marriage. Fortunately for you, I have unwittingly discovered a very special and supremely safe mid-sized city in the Philippines where the weather is typically 80’s year-round, there are no typhoons or extreme flooding, the cost of living in comfort is relatively low, there are numerous 3-4 story modern malls + beautiful beach resorts and most importantly a significant shortage of single straight men actively seeking marriage.
The reason for such a shortage of available straight men in the Philippines is that for some reason there seems to be a disproportionate number of female births and many adult men there are LGBTQ+ or want a wife to support them financially. Subsequently, once you adjust for all of these offsets, it’s about a 4 to 1 ratio of women to available men there. Compare that to an extremely competitive ratio of 1 woman to 1 man in the United States. That’s why so many American men are single, settle or stay in bad relationships. There’s simply a lack of better options. 4 to 1 vs. 1 to 1 is like suddenly having your salary quadrupled. Obviously, with four times more available women, your marital options and opportunity for happiness is going to improve exponentially and attractive women are going to be much more approachable for courting by very average or even below average looking guys. Because most of the available Filipino adult men have so many female options, they tend to be noncommittal, as opposed to single foreigner men who are generally seen as coming to the Philippines in search of a serious relationship leading to marriage. As a result of all the above factors, American men are in high demand, but short supply in the Philippines.
Due to this short supply of straight available men in the Philippines and the fact that so many are noncommittal, women there are slow to date Filipino men. As a direct result of that, many are still innocent or only had 1 or 2 boyfriends well into their 20’s or 30’s. Sometimes, even attractive women in their 40’s+ have not had a serious relationship. Occasionally, they even resort to having a child with a Filipino man that they know will not marry them, simply because if they didn’t, they might never have any children at all. Generally speaking, women mature much earlier in the Philippines, due to the many responsibilities often placed upon them from a young age; such as taking care of their siblings, pursuing a higher education and becoming the primary breadwinner for their family.
Filipinos have very diverse genetic as well as cultural influences from the USA, Spain, Japan, China and the U.K., along with many other countries. Therefore, you will find uniquely beautiful women everywhere in the PH. I would say the average Filipino female is single, 18-35, 4’9″-5’4″ tall, 90-110 pounds, English speaking, attractive, feminine, affectionate, loyal, kind, helpful, has traditional values, is at least High School educated and many have college degrees which are either accepted as is for most jobs in the USA or at least partially transferable for licensed professions in the USA. Of course, you may also choose to pursue available women in the Philippines that have a child or children and are older, taller or larger depending on your own personal preferences.
I want you to know right up-front that the Philippines is not a place where you will find a plethora of desperate women willing to sacrifice their integrity for a green card to the USA and/or willing to readily accept mistreatment. It’s a country of many islands and because of that they are very family oriented. It’s not like you hear about some women from Communist or Socialist 3rd world countries or most all other countries in Asia, where they hardly speak any English and/or the weather is freezing most of the year and the economy is depressed. The Philippines is a 3rd world country in development, which means they have a thriving economy. You will definitely find much more poverty in the Philippines than would ever see in the USA. However, there is also a very substantial amount of middle to upper middle class as well as a surprising number of Filipinos that I would consider wealthy. The bottom line is that you will need to earn the love of a respectable Filipino female with kindness, caring and loyalty, especially if you expect her to relocate. It’s not just a given.
With that being said, there is a negative element in every culture. Some Filipino women may try to use foreigners for gifts or money etc. It’s not very common, but it happens. I can guide you on what to look out for and respond to any related concerns that you have, should you feel it may be happening to you.
The Philippines can seem somewhat familiar to Americans. It’s a Democracy with civil rights and freedoms, same as the United States. They actually embrace our culture. It’s one off the few remaining countries, outside of the USA, where it’s not uncommon to see someone wearing a T-shirt with an American flag on it. They have never forgotten that we liberated them from invasion in WWII. English is taught from elementary education through high school and college. Street signs are in English. Restaurant menus are in English. Taxi drivers even typically speak decent English. They have many American icons; such as McDonald’s, KFC, Pizza Hut, TGIF, etc. along with their own franchises and family-owned restaurants of course. Many of the bars + clubs where people go out for a drink, to eat and/or to dance there have live popular music, mostly in English as well as occasional songs in their own native languages of Tagalog and Bisaya.
However, I can tell you without question that the last thing you want to do is what I did, which is travel to a 3rd world country, without knowing anyone there who is actually vested in your success and can help guide you in person in fluent English to navigate the many logistical, legal and cultural challenges.
It’s very easy to waste a lot of time making costly mistakes.
That’s where I come in, so that you can make the most of your efforts and investment.
You can benefit greatly from my hard-earned experience and knowledge.
Based on what I have learned, here are the best ways that I can help to make your trip a success:
I can inform you of what I feel is the best relationship website for foreigners to meet like-minded Filipino women. I will help focus your search on a single city with over 1-Million woman seeking marriage with an open mind to foreigners and possible relocation, as applicable. I will advise you on how to post a winning profile and narrow the search to only the qualities you seek in a partner. In sharp contrast to many other countries, Filipino women more often care less about your appearance, age, waistline or wallet and more on how you treat them. This is likely because they are so often taken for granted by Filipino men. You will be very pleasantly surprised at how approachable Filipino woman are on-line and in person.
I strongly recommend dedicating several hours each week for at least 1-2 months prior to your trip, to build relationships on-line via my recommended dating website with at least 2-3 preferential partners, which you have a plan to see in the Philippines. That way, if you meet your 1st choice in person and you feel there is a lack of compatibility, you can then move on promptly to your 2nd or 3rd choice. It’s typically best not to initially put all your eggs in one basket.
Once in the Philippines, if you feel strongly about one of your choices and if she feels the same, you can then either get married in the Philippines and apply for a Spousal Visa, apply for a Fiancé Visa from the PH or when you return to the USA or you can simply opt to plan another trip to the Philippines to spend more time together in person while maintaining regular communication during any time apart.
I can also provide you with advice on how to access the best real-time local dating app in the Philippines, should you desire to continue your search or options while on the ground there. These women are generally willing to meet at a public place for a meal or coffee at Starbuck’s for a 1st date same day or next day to talk in person and get to know each other better. It’s also popular there to take a date to a family KTV club for Karaoke singing or listening to popular music in a private lounge room with food and drinks available. A second date might be to a local mall for dinner and a movie, a beach resort day trip or one of the many other nearby tourist destinations/activities.
Finally, I can inform you of the bars, clubs and other places where local women frequent within the city, upon request.
FYI – I am not affiliated with, nor do I receive compensation from any dating website or entity.
FLIGHTS (Roundtrip economy, all flights combined, averages around $1,500)
It actually takes just one full day to travel from the United States to the Philippines. I can put you in touch with my top-notch travel agent to make booking your flights as seamless as possible. Using a travel agent is a personal touch that I highly recommend, especially should you ever require assistance with re-scheduling or extending your trip. They can search the lowest prices and shortest layovers for about the same cost or possibly even less than doing it yourself.
Keep in mind that a USA passport with at least 6-months until expiration, from the date you plan to arrive in the Philippines, is required to travel.
NOTE: Of course, you always have the option to just book your own flights.
FYI – I am not affiliated with, nor do I receive compensation from any travel agent or entity.
HOTELS (Depending on rating, amenities and location, the average is $50 – $100 per night)
My travel agent can also assist you with booking a hotel. I can even recommend some based on your budget, choice of proximity in the city, preference of 3-5 stars as well as your requirements for amenities; such as a pool, gym, spa, room service, laundry service, WIFI, Cable TV, Free breakfast and a restaurant etc.
NOTE: Of course, you always have the option to just book your own hotel room.
FYI – I am not affiliated with, nor do I receive compensation from any hotel or entity.
MEET & GREET
I or my representative in the Philippines can be there at the airport of your final destination city to accompany you to the hotel and get you settled in as well as discuss your own itinerary, along with optional itinerary items etc.
LOCAL + INTERNATIONAL CALLS, TEXTS & INTERNET SERVICE
I or my representative in the Philippines can assist you with installing a new SIM card including a local phone number into your current smartphone to make and receive local PH + international low-cost calls, texts as well as internet access. If you do not have a smart phone, we can assist you with purchasing one when you arrive for as little as $150. We can also assist you with internet access on your laptop or tablet, as applicable.
ON-THE-GROUND SUPPORT
I or my representative in the Philippines can provide you with 24/7 access to reasonable support services via call, text, internet or in person, as requested and necessary during your tour. We can always be there around the clock to assist with any questions, concerns and/or guidance. I or my representative in the Philippines may also be available to accompany you with people or to places that you prefer not to go alone, as applicable.
LEGAL
I am not qualified to provide legal services. However, I can give basic advice on Philippines laws, how to extend your stay in the Philippines, retire in the Philippines, get married in the Philippines, get a Fiancé Visa for your future wife or apply for a Spousal Visa if you end up marrying in the Philippines. I can also help to guide you as it relates to renting a house or condo or purchasing a home and/or a vehicle + insurances etc.
CULTURAL
As with any foreign country, there are many do’s and don’ts that you should be aware of to help avoid miscommunications, misunderstandings or mishaps. I or my representative in the Philippines can help guide you on all the basics when you arrive and as they may come up during your visit.
CAUTION
Again, I can almost guarantee you that without knowledgeable support/guidance prior to your trip and during, from someone who knows all the ins and outs of visiting/dating for marriage in the Philippines, you will have little to no success on your own + waste many 1,000’s of dollars, unless you’re willing to make multiple extended stay trips there yourself at even greater cost as well as accept the substantial stress necessary to learn everything the hard way as I did.
DISCLOSURES
I’m only claiming and stating that I have extensive personal knowledge, based on my own experiences in the Philippines. I have a vacation home and met my wife there. I have traveled to the Philippines approximately 10 times over the past decade or so. However, I do not make any legal claims or accept any liabilities for any advice or guidance provided prior to, during or after your travel to the Philippines or your own personal experiences. I will simply do my best to help you make the most of your trip.
COMMON COURTESY
This is NOT a service for guys seeking 1-night stands or irresponsible men who don’t take protection against pregnancy seriously with a female to whom they are not married. Filipino women are generally soft hearted and therefore hurt easily with both bad actions and harsh words. So please be considerate, respectful and kind to all Filipinos. Remember that “Hell Hath No Fury Like A Woman Scorned”. The last thing you want is to be black listed from the Philippines or taken to court for child support or worse.
TOUR DATES
Your reservation guarantees access to my services for up to 12-months. Therefore, you may choose to travel to the Philippines at any point within that time frame, while utilizing my advice/guidance support services, from the moment of your reservation and continuing while on the ground in the Philippines for up to 10-days thereafter. FYI – My available bookings are limited and only those who make a reservation are guaranteed a slot. Once my annual capacity is reached, others may need to wait until the following year or longer to sign-up. Therefore, if you’re serious, it’s best not to delay securing your reservation.
GENDER PREFERENCE INCLUSIVITY
Although my area of experience is biological men for biological women, I may still be able to assist with persons whom identify elsewhere on the LGBTQ+ spectrum. FYI – Same sex Fiance’ Visa applications are now being accepted by the USCIS, from what I understand.
CONSULTING FEE
For the next 30-days, during this radio advertising roll-out, I’m reducing my consulting fee by 25% and I’m also breaking that up into two installments for your convenience (Keep in mind, that I have substantial costs associated with the marketing of this service, so that you and others could learn about it). The initial $500 consulting fee deposit, is to reserve your tour slot and access to my consulting services for up to 12-months. Therefore, you have flexibility in when you want to travel. Again, that fee includes my pre-tour advice/guidance support services, prior to your visit; such as getting you set-up for success with a winning profile on the absolute best Philippines dating website, so that you can start building relationships right away in advance of your trip + assistance with booking your flights and hotel as well as answering any reasonable questions or concerns that you may have leading up to your trip.
A secondary $250 installment is OPTIONAL (Normally $500), but due prior to your arrival in the Philippines, should you desire to continue my advice/guidance support services during transit to the PH and while you’re on the ground; such as communicating and coordinating with you during travel, meeting you at your final destination airport, getting you settled in at your hotel, setting up your PH phone service + internet, discussing your many itinerary options including to meet new women in the area (if desired) as well as responding to any reasonable questions, concerns or needs you may have 24/7 during your tour time.
Since this is a very personalized business and I’m starting out small, I will not be utilizing a Credit/Debit card portal. Instead, payments will be made via bank transfer or via www.remitly.com, which is a very popular web service for sending money via Credit/Debit card from the USA to the Philippines. I use it often myself and can walk you through the process. I’m also open to considering other methods of transmitting payment, which you may prefer, as applicable.
IT ALL BEGINS WITH SCHEDULING YOUR FREE INITIAL Q&A SESSION BY EMAILING stephen.sylvain@yahoo.com or TEXTING 207-485-1415.
FYI – I may also be available to help with other things; such as assistance with processing Visas or a PH Wedding and supplemental guidance/support after your tour concludes or if you choose to extend your trip beyond that, for an additional fee to be negotiated, as applicable.
NOTE: After utilizing my guidance and support services for your 1st trip to the Philippines, you might feel confident enough to make future trips on your own, as desired. That would be up to you!
I WILL LOOK FORWARD TO HEARING FROM YOU AND SPEAKING WITH YOU PERSONALLY.
Good luck & God bless.
Sincerely,
Stephen J. Sylvain
